Q: Who are the GREAT-ER users?

A: We have a growing community of users in different continents. Typically they are environmental scientists, water quality modelers and/or risk assessors in industry, academics or government organizations. GREAT-ER is also used a teaching tool in courses of environmental chemistry, engineering and modelling.

Q: How can I contribute to the GREAT-ER project?

A: The GREAT-ER organization welcomes initiatives to develop additional catchments for various regions and countries; share data, publications, use experience. Moreover, you can share your knowledge on chemicals by
sharing scenarios with other GREAT-ER users. Of course, your questions and remarks are very important to improve GREAT-ER: do not hesitate to CONTACT US.

How can I exchange scenarios with other GREAT-ER users?

A: Using Export and Import features in the GREAT-ER menu. The Export function applies to the whole active scenario, including any additional documents derived from the model results and stored scenario subdirectory. Please note that these functions do not include the geographic data such as river networks (due to possible licence restrictions). Therefore users have to ensure that they are working on identical geographic datasets if they want to exchange (an work with) scenario data. For more detailed information, see page 41 of the

A: The GREAT-ER organization appreciates the referencing of the use of the model and publications, where appropriate.

Q: Where can I find documentation on GREAT-ER?

A: Brochure, manuals, publication list and legal documents on GREAT-ER are available as .pdf files on the
download page of this web site and/or on the software CD. Copyrighted publications are found in scientific journals. Moreover, the user manual is also available in html format in the help section of the software (select Contents in the GREAT-Help menu).
