The majority of the WWTPs are trickling filter type (year 1999). The Aire has been studied and modeled in great detail as pilot catchment of the GREAT-ER development. Present on the GREAT-ER 1.0x and desktop CD. Top of Page Calder Catchment The Calder is a small Yorkshire catchment (957 km2) with 23 WWTPs serving a population of approximately 790,000 inhabitants. Fourteen WWTPs are trickling filter type and the others activated sludge or a combination of the two (year 1999). The Calder has been studied and modeled in great detail as pilot catchment of the GREAT-ER development. Present on the GREAT-ER 1.0x and desktop CD.
