Projects Description
Product Assessment with GREAT-ER The "GREAT-ER product mode" is an extension of the GREAT-ER 1.0 model developed by Carsten Schulze. It was released in 2001. Its purpose is the comparative assessment of whole products, rather than the environmental risk assessment of single substances. It was developed and tested for the case of laundry detergents.

GREAT-ER Sediment Project A new sediment exposure module was developed (2006) that predicts equilibrium between the dissolved, suspended sediment and bed-sediment phases in a river. The new module generates a new important endpoint for chemical risk assessment (PEC sediment), and therefore enhances the capability of GREAT-ER as a higher-tier risk assessment tool. The new tool can be found in the Download section. The sediment project was financially supported by the CEFIC LRI programme (www.cefic-lri.org).
